This is a video of the future of the computer interface. Well propably for work related stuff only, I ain’t getting off the couch to touch my monitor. But we should be heading towards lees tool bars, and more intuitive interfaces on computers, at least better designed interfaces that make sense the first time you use them. They should let you do what you want when you want, unlike the interface for TOCA Race Driver 3 in which almost no though was put into the interface (although much thought was put into the best PC car racing gameplay I’ve ever tried), and things just don’t work like you think they should.

Who do you have to know to be able to say: “I want my picture to be taken with a multi million dollar satellite. Tell me what time and date I have to look up for it to take my picture!” Not only that, but then be able to tell Google to include it in their public images database, and not only that but make sure they do it in their secret ultra high resolution so that everyone can see me and cry because they can’t get their picture taken too.

This resolution is secret because if you zoom out, you can’t zoom back in. The only way to get this resolution is through changing the URL manually (find the z=19 and change the 19 to 20, 21, 22, or even 23! What makes this even crazier is that there are only two spots in the world that have this resolution shown to the public: 1. This random place in Africa with the guy looking at you, and 2. So I like to look at robot videos, but usually they are of the industrial kind. But when I saw the above video I realized that robots can have emotions like humans, even needs like humans. And every once in a while, there is borne a robot thats specials, just like there are special humans. This robot just wanted some lovin’, and humped everything he saw. He also has dreams like humans, wants to be a body builder and is a fan of Hulkamania. He enjoys spending time at his lake front cottage and being cozy in front of a fireplace.

Try out this Russian Puzzle. It’s a very difficult puzzle, and becomes marginally easier when you realize that you don’t have to make a perfect square out of the pieces, but you ONLY have to get the pieces inside the square. You can rotate them using the shift button while clicking. Even with all this extra information its still very difficult to solve. Supposedly its based on an old puzzle made from wooden block originating in Russia, although in that one, one can flip the pieces as well. Its been said that this one is still solvable even without the flipping. So get ready to sink plenty of time into this one. Enjoy!!

If your looking for something to do, or to waste time, have a go at this flash game. It’ll get your blood pumping and youll find yourself saying, just once more a couple of times. This will really test how many calculations per second your brain can do. When trying to keep track of all the balls becomes impossible, you have to zone out and try to keep track of the balls coming at you. It reminds me of Game Boy Tetris, once you got past level 8, you had to zone out, or you couldn’t play. Anyways, have fun.

Speaking of videos that get disturbing unexpectedly, this actually is the most ridiculous Microsoft commercial ever. You watch the beginning and you can make fun of the hair and clothes, and how not shiny the desktop is, even how the speed at which the windows change on her computer, but nothing prepares you for what happens after they guy leaves, and the song that was etched into my head even though I tried not to listen….you have to hear and see it for yourself to understand.
